I loved it. Finished it in a couple of hours. Really sweet story that made me cry and laugh and smile.
Really enjoyed this book. Characters and storyline well developed. I thought this would be a typical Christmas love story but to my surprised it had me hooked. It made me giggle and cry. Well worth the time reading. I will definitely be reading more from this author .
A heartwarming story
Logan and Beth have both gone through terribly tough things in their lives—Logan losing his daughter and later his wife because of a tragedy, and Beth losing her husband to cancer. Both of them react in different ways to their respective tragedies—Logan by running from it and Beth by faking it. They find each other after some time has passed for both of them. It takes some major events for them to finally allow themselves the happiness they deserve.
While this was a well-written book and the ending was happy, I wasn’t as connected to the characters as I expected to be, given all of the tough stuff they were dealt. I stayed on the periphery looking in, instead of being in the thick of it. The very best books bring the reader into the story fully, and I didn’t feel that here. It was still compelling enough to make me want to finish it, however.
I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.
