Robert Munsch is a world-renowned storyteller and the author of almost 60 books for children. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and studied to be a Jesuit priest before deciding to work with children instead. Since his first picture book, Mud Puddle, was published in 1979, Munsch's award-winning books have become a staple on the bookshelves of families worldwide.

Too Scary for Young Readers

We have been purchasing every Robert Munsch book one by one because my 3 year old son loves them so much. We have around 15 of them. But he asked me to delete this one after reading it once. Scary people holding children under water, under the frozen Alaskan ice? Great folk tale-like story for older kids, but not for younger readers.
