From NYT & USA Today Bestselling Author A.L. Jackson…
Sunder lead singer Sebastian Stone is no stranger to trouble.
It follows him wherever he goes.
From his track record, he should have known Shea Bentley would be a problem. But the soft, innocent Southern girl was all he could see. All he wanted to see. Now they’re both drowning in a sea of desire, sinking hopelessly into a world of lust, and their passion refuses to let them up for air.
No matter how much he wants that to be enough…Shea has an inescapable past. One she would do anything to keep running from.
But some secrets never die.
If her history is dragged from the depths, it could tear his world apart. He has to decide if she’s worth fighting the tide or if they should just sink like a stone in the sea.
“A passionate ride of secrets, surprises and steaming hot sex.” Penelope Ward, NYT Bestselling Author
6 Amazing Stars!!!
As I began this book I was thinking there was no way Amy could top my other faves of hers. Boy, was I wrong! She is a literary god in every sense. If you haven't read anything by her I have to ask what are you waiting for??? This has become my new fave. I love a book with some angst in it I don't know why I just do. Amy always, always has plenty of angst in her books, but this time she blew my mind. Sebastian was a guy in a band who trouble always seemed to follow. Shea was a woman scorned and had sworn off dating due to this. After an incident, Sebastian and his bandmates were spending time in Savannah, Georgia, to lay low for a bit and just chill. When Sebastian goes to Charlie's for a drink this is where he meets Shea. The attraction and chemistry is there from the start, but Shea doesn't want anything to do with dating. It didn't take them long to realize they needed each other and that their chemistry was undeniable. This book made me feel right along with the characters. When a book does that I know it is going to be amazing. They both have secrets and it threatens everything right up to the end. I cannot wait to read the next book. This is definitely one of my top books for the year!
Poetry written in the form of a story with many repetitive lines.
Shea and Sebastian's story.
This story lacks the depth I look for in AL Jacksons writing. She usually has the power to consume my thoughts with heartache and passion. When Ms. Jackson is writing about Kallie she is at her best. Ms. Jackson went overboard on the overuse of adjectives in this story. A redundancy of words used to describe feelings and emotions.
I felt like I was reading poetry with the repetition of lines. Hidden in that poetry was a beautiful story but to get there I had to read through a lot of fillers. I did not feel the passion in the words this time with the poetic lines used as fillers.
It's a series that I'm not sure will entice me enough to continue. I realize this review will not please many fans but know I too am a fan but not of this one.
O M G!
Why did you have to leave me hanging like that. Errr! I was on cloud 9 with Baz and Shea. Then it came crashing down at the end. I need the next book now! 😩
