Read this (You'll be glad you did)
Just finished reading (& participating) in My friend Jillian Abbott's New Book "Air Quality" It's a new innovative form. It's interactive and confronts deeply personal issues and addictive personalities. It's a good read, I recommend it highly. It's available at the iBook store and as far as I know can only be read on Apple devices. Read it you won't be disappointed, and you might just learn something about yourself or someone you love...
A new multi-dimensional literary form
Air Quality is really interesting -- interactive short fiction in this new multi-media form. The visuals and audio reflect, enhance, and sort of haunt the story. It's more than a reading experience, very engaging!
A convincing and sophisticated read
In a breif yet effective manner Air Quality tells the story of Ken Abbotts journey as a smoker. I will rcommened this book to my close friend who is trying to quite smoking. This book doesnt just say “oh smoking is bad for you ect”. We all know this. Instead it begins by explaining how smoking was once accepted and normal in society (specifically this book is set in Australia). It then goes on to explain the expereince of Ken Abbott who is battling not only smoking, but also his own denial over the health effects. It really made me think.
Unlike other short stories written only in text Air Quality makes use of both sound and videos throughout the story. Replete with metaphore and illustrations, Air Quality is extremely well written. This is both a quick and powerful read. I highly recommende it for anyone—whether a smoker or not—. Very very good.
