~~~ Wildflowers have to be strong and resilient to bloom amid the rugged beauty of Wyoming – and so do the women. ~~~
“A don't-miss treat!” -- Rendezvous
Dave Currick was everything Matty Brennan wanted for as long as she could remember. Right up until he broke her heart six years ago. Now that she's returned to Wyoming and her small-town home for good, what she wants more than anything is to save her family's ranch. Even if that means swallowing her pride and asking Dave to marry her.
Matty's up to something - Dave knows that much. Just as he knows that Matty needs help, so of course he'll provide it, just as he did all the time they were childhood sweethearts. Doing what's best for Matty is second nature. Even when it comes to agreeing to a marriage of convenience. Although he can't resist one hot-blooded kiss after the I-dos.
Maybe - just maybe - his Matty will become more to him than Almost a Bride.
Almost a Bride is a romantic comedy and the first book in the contemporary western romance collection Wyoming Wildflowers from award-winning and USA Today bestselling author Patricia McLinn.
About the Author
From being a sports writer to editing at the Washington Post to becoming a USA Today bestselling author, Patricia McLinn follows her heart. She writes what she loves to read, and is delighted and humbled when readers love it, too.
One of the things she loves is writing about Wyoming, a passion that started with a free airline ticket and a desire to go someplace she’d never seen before. Cowboys, quirky small towns, humorous characters, and spectacular landscapes – what’s not to like? Now she returns every chance she gets – including visiting through her popular contemporary western romance bundles (Wyoming Wildflowers, A Place Called Home, and Bardville, Wyoming), her western historical romances, and her mystery series Caught Dead in Wyoming.
Readers praise her books for memorable and believable characters, as well as touches of humor added to romance, women’s fiction, and mystery.
Patricia’s newest releases are the romantic comedy THE FORGOTTEN PRINCE, the seventh book in The Wedding Series (also set in Europe and Washington, D.C. – because she’s not always writing westerns), and A COWBOY WEDDING, the seventh story in the Wyoming Wildflowers contemporary western romance collection. It was ok
The book was ok but couldn't keep me interested. It was a slow read. Maybe a little more drama needed.
Couldn't finish it
Slow read. The main female character had too much attitude even though the leading male character was trying to help her at her own request. There was a lot of bickering.
I loved the book! Amazing and touching story!
