Customer Reviews
Wow.
Ok for some reason I skipped this trilogy and there was never enough time to get to it. (I am honestly not sure why). So today is my 39th birthday and I bought it and well...wow. This book is so much fun. Also very bitter sweet knowing Chewbacca’s heroic fate in Vector Prime. And harder still is seeing sweet little Jacen, Jaina, and Anakin. Their interactions as siblings is so perfect it’s heartbreaking (knowing all their fates). I’m off to book two, the fate the Corellian System is now in the unstable hands of Thracken Sal-Solo. I’ve got to know what happens next.
Very enjoyable read
I enjoyed this book very much and am looking forward to the next book in this trilogy. If you enjoyed the Han Solo trilogy you will enjoy this book. As an FYI: if you haven't read all the books leading up to this book, (look at a Star Wars book timeline) you'll be confused about several character references and past plot lines/exploits. So I recommend this book to anyone that is up to speed with Star Wars books.
Ambush At Corellia
Star Wars Ambush At Corellia is the first in the Corellian trilogy. Roger Macbride Allen does a great job bringing the classic Star Wars characters to life. Han, Leia, Chewbacca, Luke and Lando star in this fun filled adventure, and the Solo twins also bring fun and flavor to the tale. The story does take quite some time to get interesting, but it proves to be worth the wait. There are some excellent new characters introduced such as New Republic agent Belindi Kalenda and various other human, Selonian and Drallian characters.
Over all, it's a kinda slow moving story that gets up to speed towards the end and is sure to grow in the second and third volumes of the trilogy.
