When he learns who Autumn’s husband really is, Gabe knows he will stop at nothing to protect her. Or is it too late for him to save his angel?
Beautifully empowering romance
This is the first novel I've read from Kimberly Knight, but I was really quite enthralled with it. Great plot, great characters, and great character development makes for a really great book! While I found the part of the story with Autumn's husband to be ultimately a little anti-climactic, I absolutely LOVED Gabe and Autumn's story! I really felt for these two characters, and just couldn't help myself rooting for the HEA for these two. Although their road to love is not an easy one, it most definitely is a heartfelt and beautiful one. As a side note, I also adored Gabe's best friend Paul! If this author hasn't already written him his own book, she most definitely should. He's so sweet and funny, and the good-natured banter between the guys is highly entertaining. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and would highly recommend it to anyone in the mood for a lovely and empowering romance.
* I received a copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I have to start by saying that I've never read a book that had such a major issue. Paul plays the best friend and housemate of the main male character, Gabe. About 1/2 way through the book a new character popped up that we had not met before and the character was never properly introduced. I was thoroughly confused and I got through a whole chapter before realizing that this new character, Jackson, was actually Paul, but the author forgot which name she had given the character. She used the names Paul and Jackson interchangeably throughout the whole story. It blows my mind that this was not caught in editing. I honestly can't tell you much else about the story because I was so preoccupied while reading it and trying to figure out who an author writes a book and forgets her character's name...
