Annie's 1st Break
#1, The Annie McCauley Romantic Comedy Mysteries
This book can be downloaded and read in Apple Books on your Mac or iOS device.
Look out New York City! In this first book in the Annie McCauley Series, Ms. Rayanne “Annie” McCauley from little old Mesa View, Texas has set her sights on being a high fashion model. Despite her humble beginnings in the Mesa View Mobile Home Park, hot tempered Annie thinks she can make it all the way to the cover of Women’s Wear Daily (as long as she follows her own rules).
She may also snag the heart of sexy Tomi Di Ponti, the CEO of Di Ponti Cosmetics and Fashions, but not without a lot of trouble from her arch rival, Brittany Carstairs, another alumnus of the trailer park and a woman who never met a nasty trick she didn’t use.
Will Annie be able to solve the mystery of who is trying to sabotage Tomi's company? Is she in danger?
When it looks like things can’t get any worse, along comes Luther Grolsch, handsome, dangerous and possibly the most annoying man Annie ever met. Hilarious situations and quirky characters make this romantic comedy adventure a must read.
A Laugh Out Loud Yarn.
Annie McCauley's future is looking up in more ways than one until arch enemy, Brittany Carstairs, orchestrates more than one accident that increases Annie's popularity but loses her her job and the one man she hoped to connect with. Ms Amsden is clever and witty, writing a colorful yarn that speeds to the end. And just think, there's more where this came from.
Rolling on the floor in laughter
I enjoyed this book right from the start and was sad the story ended! My wife would ask what was I laughing about. Couldn't tell her as it would give the story away. Not that my wife was going to read the book. She doesn't read any books and does not know what she is missing.
So if you do not like hilariously funny stories then by all means do not read this one!
Annie's First Break
I'm from Arizona, and I keep telling my friends, here in Ohio, that cussing is done differently there. Let me explain, in AZ, if you're really cussing intensely, you add descriptors in sentence form. In Ohio, it's done with vocal tone and maybe a gesture or two.
The humor in this book was very southwestern, and I absolutely love 💞 it‼️
