Fool-Proof Guide is a Must-Read
Everyone with anxiety disorders knows how difficult it can be to manage. Panic attacks, uneasiness, nervousness and anxiousness more often than not, seem to come out of nowhere. But, The Anxiety Handbook offers over some holistic treatments like exercise and changing your diet that prove to be quite beneficial over time. I especially loved the chapter that talked about keeping an Anxiety Journal where you can keep a log of anxiety inducing episodes so you can better understand what triggers your anxiety and what you can do to fix it. Overall, the handbook is a great read. I totally recommend it.
A good reference about anxiety, what causes it and how to overcome it. I especially liked the section on “instant calm,” which has some mental exercises as well as physical remedies. Also included is a whole chapter on lifestyle changes, which has a good list of foods to eat and foods to avoid, as well as information on common anti-anxiety prescription meds.
Decently helpful book on anxiety, very short and easy to read
This book is a fairly basic overview but still moderately helpful, especially for those who may not have extensive personal experience with anxiety but want to know more about it, or be able to help people around them who are struggling. Super easy to read and understand. Covers terms like "OCD" and "PTSD" that you tend to hear a lot about. The coping strategies seem pretty feasible overall. One of the tactics suggested, tai chi, has been helpful for me and I'd highly recommend it.
