Anywhere You Are
Book 3, Return to Briarwood - A Return to Briarwood Novel
This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
The author of Once and Again (“Engaging, sexy, and immensely touching.”—Marina Adair) invites readers back to the Briarwood with a novel about a single-minded businessman and the rock princess who melts his heart.
As the daughter of a music legend, Grace Davingham knows all too well what it’s like to be burned by the media’s glare. Now all she wants is to be left to do her painting and conservation work in peace, with no intention of returning to the spotlight. But after she sprains her ankle hiking and a handsome real-estate mogul comes to her rescue, Grace once again finds herself in the public eye.
Sexy, successful, and averse to any attachments, Marcus Colby thrives on rigid discipline in order to manage both his real-estate investment company and his personal life. Marc has no time for fun, and no patience for crazy. Which is why meeting Grace—and inheriting an enormous Great Dane who won’t listen to a word he says—has turned Marc’s carefully constructed world upside down.
Only when Grace and Marc square off over a local controversy do they realize how different they really are. But if opposites attract, their love is destined to bind them together—forever.

“If you like opposites-attract romances, you don’t want to miss Anywhere You Are by the talented Elisabeth Barrett. It’s an entertaining mix of sexy and sweet. The perfect way to spend a lazy afternoon.”—Wendy S. Marcus, award-winning author of All I Need Is You
“A sweet story about two people who discover that meanings of family and home evolve over time, and that the people we invite into our lives shape those lives as much as we do. It involves a sweeping happily ever after. . . . Anywhere You Are is a lovely read.”—All About Romance
“I really enjoyed this story. Both Grace and Marc were passionate in their own way and Big Blue added adventure. The downside of fame and publicity surrounding reality TV was realistically portrayed and anyone craving this lifestyle would be given pause. This was an interesting series with diverse issues and characters that I found admirable and appealing.”—The Book Nympho
“I wish more books were this much fun.”—The Rock of Pages
“Easy to read as a stand-alone, this brings the series to a close with an epilogue that wraps everything up nicely. A fun book and series full of light moments, heart and heat.”—I Am, Indeed
“Elisabeth Barrett excels in relationships that are challengingly worthwhile. Hey, anything worth having is worth working for, and in Anywhere You Are these amazing characters have their work cut out for them.”—Fresh Fiction

Two years ago, Grace walked away from the limelight. Along with her famous parents, she was part of a reality show. But she did not want that kind of scrutiny. She wanted a much quieter life. All she wanted to do was paint. So she moved to the country. One day while on a hike she injured herself. Luckily, Marc was walking by and rescued her. Marc is in town for the funeral of his aunt. These two are definitely opposites. Grace is the artsy, bohemian type gal; while Marc is a buttoned up real estate mogul. All he ever wears is suits. But Marc is drawn to Grace and he needs her help. His aunt left him her precious Great Dane, “Mr. Pipplepotts” aka Big Blue. Since he travels a lot he needs someone to take care of Big Blue while he is gone. Because “Big Blue” seems to like Grace, Marc asks her to take care of him while he is gone. As Grace continues to take care of Big Blue more and more, Marc finds himself more and more attracted to Grace. Slowly their romance grows and is going well until they hit a road block. When Grace decides to use her fame in order to bring attention to endangered animals, Marc walks away. He does not want to be in the limelight. He does not want to be constantly be hounded by the paparazzi. So he walks away devastating not only himself but also Grace. Eventually his friends get him to see how much Grace meant to him and how she changed him for the better. This is another touching book by this author. It is well paced. The dialogue flows easily. This is a fairly clean story; with little cursing and tastefully done love scenes.
This was a wonderfully sweet and touching story. This is the third book in the Return to Briarwood series and wraps things up nicely. It can be read standalone though. Marcus and Grace were great characters and their story kept me turning the pages.
Grace Davingham has lived her whole life in the spotlight. With a rock star father and a mother that is the queen of reality tv, there isn't much she hasn't seen. Now she just wants to live a quiet life and focus on her art and conservation work. Briarwood seems to be the perfect place for this free spirit. Marcus Colby lives a very structured life. That's the only way he can balance all the responsibilities he has on his plate. Inheriting a great dane from his favorite aunt is not in his plan. Neither is meeting Grace and the feelings she pulls from him. This is a true opposites attract love story and everything is great until they find themselves over a local conservation issue. Then the media shows up and all bets are off. Can these two find their way back to each other?
Definitely a book I recommend.
This book sure proved that opposites really do attract!
This book sure proved that opposites really do attract!
Marcus Colby was born into money, but is very successful himself in real estate. He expects his life to be completely in order and he has a hard time when things go differently than he is expecting. Marcus' Aunt Sarah was really the only family member that he actually liked and she just passed away unexpectedly while walking her dog in the woods. While Marcus was wandering through the woods to find the place where he lost his aunt, he comes across a woman sitting alone in the woods on the boardwalk he needed to cross. As Marcus walks closer, he hears the woman talking to herself and he thinks she is crazy....something he has no time for in his life.
Grace Davingham may be the daughter of the famous rock star, Jerry Davingham and the equally as famous super model, Sophie Whalley, but she was tired of being in the spotlight....especially after what happened with her ex-boyfriend. All Grace wanted was to paint wildlife pictures and bring to light the damage being done to the wildlife....so Grace moved to Eastbridge where life was way less quiet.
The first meeting of Marcus and Grace was awesome. It was so funny. I loved how these two were so different yet they seemed to compliment each other perfectly. Grace is so laid back you could feel at times like it drove Marcus crazy.
When Marcus found out he inherited his aunt's dog, a Great Dane named Mr. Pipplepotts all hell breaks loose. He can't handle a dog in his life, let alone a huge dog! This dog added so much comedy to the story! He was great! This big dog though helps bring Marcus into Grace's life more often, which he is starting to realize he enjoys. As Marcus and Grace start to spend more and more time together, it is very obvious they are meant to be together. Of course, along the way there are a few bumps (his family, her family, work etc...) but eventually they end up with their happy ending.
Overall, this was a wonderful, enjoyable read, that was filled with laughter, sadness and sexy swooning. Great job!
