This book can be downloaded and read in Apple Books on your Mac or iOS device.

Description

Aquaponics is a revolutionary system for growing plants by fertilizing them with the waste water from fish in a sustainable closed system. A combination of aquaculture and hydroponics, aquaponic gardening is an amazingly productive way to grow organic vegetables, greens, herbs, and fruits, while providing the added benefits of fresh fish as a safe, healthy source of protein. They are four to six times more productive and use ninety percent less water than conventional gardens. Other advantages include no weeds, fewer pests, and no watering, fertilizing, bending, digging, or heavy lifting—in fact, there really is no downside! Anyone interested in taking the next step towards self-sufficiency will be fascinated by this practical, accessible, and well-illustrated guide.Sylvia Bernstein is the president and founder of The Aquaponic Source. Gold Standard

If you would like to learn about aquaponics from a book and not google, this is the book. I purchased the actual book two years ago. It is a reference book/guide. I think it is the best source of information out there. I think the best example that the books creativity was to use composting worms in your grow beds. The worms will break down the fish and plant waste(roots) much faster than bacteria. Then you also have a replenishing food supplement for the fish. I didn't find that info online in the years I have researched aquaponics. Book also has great pictures and illistrations.
Highly recommended.
