Asperger Diaries: Jamie's New School
This book is available for download with iBooks on your Mac or iOS device, and with iTunes on your computer. Books can be read with iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
Jamie starts at Armthorpe senior school in three weeks time. He's a little nervous already. Armthorpe is much bigger than his junior school, and is a bus ride away.
His mother, Angela, hopes Jamie will make a few new friends once he starts at senior school. He's never had many friends. She can see he is nervous, but is sure he will be okay once he has settled in. Afterall he is very clever, and always came top of the class at his junior school. He is very different to his older sister. Lesley is loud and outgoing while Jamie is quiet and shy.
Once Jamie has settled into his new school, Angela plans to look for a part time job. She hasn't worked for almost sixteen years, and is excited at the prospect of earning a little extra money.
Lesley is worried that her boring, younger brother might embarrass her once he joins her at senior school.
No one realises that Jamie has Asperger's Syndrome. That is all about to change.
Not suitable for young children. Contains some swearing.
A side-by-side comparison of an Aspergers child, Aspergers adult, a normal teen, and a normal adult
This book was truly fascinating by the way it showed daily events through the eyes of Jaimie and his family. It read like my own life story. Really well done. I stayed up late and read it cover to cover!
