Be My Hero
Book 3, Forbidden Men - Forbidden Men, no. 3
This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
Once upon a time, there was this pampered rich girl who was kind of full of herself. She really only cared about appearances and hiding all her dark, ugly secrets under the guise of an opinionated snob. But then Eva Mercer got pregnant, shot by a psycho, and kicked out of the only home she knew. Now she’s broke, unemployed, and has to start anew with a newborn to raise. But how?
On the other side of town, sexy, tattooed orphan, Patrick Ryan, can’t get a break. He’s out on parole for defending the last damsel in distress while trying to help her support her child, but all he wants is to find his one true love. He knows this woman by scent, smile, and laugh, but he’s never actually met her. He doesn’t even know her name. He just knows she’s the key to fixing everything.
One kind of hero can save you from physical harm. Another can rescue you from a different kind of doom. To reach their dreams, Eva and Pick can save each other. But first, they must open their hearts and learn how to trust.
Review: Forbidden Men #3: Be My Hero
Be My Hero by Linda Kage is the third book in her Forbidden Men series. While it is part of a series it definitely can be read as a standalone novel. This is the story of Pick and Eva.
The tale is told from both perspectives and is such a fantastic read. It shows the dark and miserable childhoods that they both suffered through without making it over the top. It shows both these characters as damaged individuals who choose to rise above their pasts and not let the darkness drag them down.
The connections are electric and I really couldn't put this book down. Every moment not reading was a moment I was waiting to be able to pick it back up again. I will definitely be reading more from this author as soon as I am able to.
Tinker Bell's Knight
I absolutely, one-hundred percent, totally, Loved. This. Book! Linda Kage again blew my mind by creating Patrick Jason Ryan: a sexy, tattooed, lady worshipper. Not only is he Tinker Bell's hero, he's MY hero...of course it would be better if he was a real person. This book was so much more than reading about two lovers with a haunted past. It was about being hopeful, strong, passionate and blending all of those into one for the greatest surprises in the future of Eva's and Pick's relationship. Reading both Eva's and Pick's POV made this even better to read because it enlightened the readers to understand the story a lot better. Again, I loved this book and was completely, utterly, happy with how everything turned out. Make sure you bring the tissue box out.😉
I am just loving this series so far. These guys are all so wonderful. I love them all! Especially Pick. He's just so caring and protective. **swoon** A Must Read!!!
