Generally, this story was better than most. I wasn’t sure how the various mysteries and tensions would resolve themselves. Though, since this genre is pretty formulaic, I was confident of resolution. One element that bothered me was that, true to formula, the male was portrayed as being the “bad guy” for not listening to the heroine’s explanation for consistently lying to him. I’d say it’s pretty obvious the heroine was seriously flawed, and the author wasn’t honest about that, for whatever reason.
