Bill O'Reilly's Legends and Lies: The Patriots

Bill O'Reilly's Legends and Lies

This book can be downloaded and read in Apple Books on your Mac or iOS device.

The must-have companion to Bill O'Reilly's historical docudrama Legends and Lies: The Patriots, an exciting and eye-opening look at the Revolutionary War through the lives of its leaders

The American Revolution was neither inevitable nor a unanimous cause. It pitted neighbors against each other, as loyalists and colonial rebels faced off for their lives and futures. These were the times that tried men's souls: no one was on stable ground and few could be trusted. Through the fascinating tales of the first Americans, Legends and Lies: The Patriots reveals the contentious arguments that turned friends into foes and the country into a warzone.

From the riots over a child's murder that led to the Boston Massacre to the suspicious return of Ben Franklin, the "First American;" from the Continental Army's first victory under George Washington's leadership to the little known southern Guerilla campaign of "Swamp Fox" Francis Marion, and the celebration of America's first Christmas, The Patriots recreates the amazing combination of resourcefulness, perseverance, strategy, and luck that led to this country's creation.

Heavily illustrated with spectacular artwork that brings this important history to vivid life, and told in the same fast-paced, immersive narrative as the first Legends and Lies, The Patriots is an irresistible, adventure-packed journey back into one of the most storied moments of our nation's rich history.

O Reilly

Bill o reilley doesn't care about the quality of his material. Only that he can shove some of your hard earned money into his fat bank account.

Too dumbed down

I was very much looking forward to reading this book. However, it is intellectually lacking. It is nothing but an advanced 4th grader American history book. If you know anything about this time period, reading this book will bore you to tears.

Don't listen to the review below🔻

His Handle says it all... Dr.McNasty. Yes, yes of course I'd listen to a review by someone with that username. Just because it's written by Bill O'Reily, doesn't mean it's automatically false. Liberals love telling us free-thinkers that we are wrong to listen to truth. Liberals much rather listen to a false narrative as long as it jives with the propaganda the mainstream media feeds them. Heaven forbid they think for themselves...
This is a great book, and informed me of how ignorant I was of my own country's history. EVERYONE should read this, or watch the TV series at the very least, so that they may learn the TRUTH of our American history. And just so you know, this book has ZERO info concerning today's politics. Just because it's written by O'Reilly makes people think otherwise....
My suggestion: Read it for yourself and make your OWN informed opinion, rather than listening to obviously Partisan and biased Reviews.
