It was just a hoverboard. Nobody was supposed to die.
Dale Adams has worked hard to leave his troubled past behind for a brighter future at Emory University. But when he makes a discovery that will change humanity forever, avoiding the spotlight becomes the least of his concerns.
Small experiments have attracted big attention. And not all who notice want Dale to be successful. Or even alive.
As Dale's world collapses around him, his fate intertwines with that of a girl he hardly knows. Their only hope for survival is to disappear into Atlanta's seedy underbelly, the very place Dale has tried so hard to leave behind. Time is running out, but if they can survive long enough science will be rewritten by the most unlikely of authors.
Great read! This author is certainly on par with some of the greats. The characters are well fleashed out and there is as much about their back stories that is untold as there is explained which adds to the realism. The grit and fear of the unknown threats comes through the ink on the pages and leaves you rooting for the hero. The book begs for a part two and three and.... Great job!
Much Fun with Science in the Mix
Breaking Gravity is a very clever story that mixes science with fun. It's mostly fun, but you get a bit of physics and engineering in it. A college kid at Emory accidentally discovers a new physical force. Next thing you know, corporations, governments and scientist want to capture or kill him. It's fast paced with great characters. I look forward to the sequel.
Enjoyed the story. Learned a little about magnetism, gravity and economics. Plus the importance of friends. I'm awaiting Mitty's next book.
