Engaging Debut Novel
Dee Kelly's debut novel, Breaking Kate, is engaging! The book is well plotted with an unexpected twist. Her characters are likable and relatable.
For the longest time I was hesitant to start reading this series. Mainly because Dee was someone I hadn't heard of and I had recently had some bad luck with getting into new things. Also, I had figured that it was some unrealistic mushy gushy romance (which isn't my thing).
I was really intrigued during a takeover/giveaway that was being hosted. There were teasers and I had read the comments of others who had already started the series. That night I won a copy of Breaking Kate and just recently received it so that I could dive in.
BEST THING I EVER DID!
From the very beginning I was hooked! I couldn't put this down and then instantly went and purchased the following 2 in this series. This was a true emotional roller coaster and you would not regret starting this series.
I am afraid to give anything away if I go into detail about the story so I'll just say this. This is a well thought out, beautifully written story. You view what's going on from multiple POVs and it flows nicely. Sometimes going from one POV to another has been overwhelming for me, but with this story that was not the case. I couldn't help but fall in love with the characters, to get drawn into their world and feel as if I was with them every step of the way.
Oh and for the record I'm #TeamDaniel
Don't waste your time on this book
I don't usually write reviews, but I really needed to for this book. This book is really bad. Haha, I don't say this often for books. But this book is horrible. Just read the first page and you'll understand what I mean.
