Book 1, Broken

This book can be downloaded and read in Apple Books on your Mac or iOS device.

Book One of a three book trilogy.

Nick O'Hara is a veritable womanizer. The only qualifications that he looks for in a romantic connection is that the person is hot and breathing. Mainly hot. He has no desire for an emotional connection with another person, and that's the way he lives his life. He has his fabulous wealth and his reputation as a premiere architect, and that's enough for him.

Until Scotty James.

Scotty is a graduate student at Columbia University in New York City. She's broken from traumatic experiences from her years in foster care and homelessness. She has a vulnerability that is intoxicating to Nick, because, deep down, he knows that he is as broken as she.

When Nick pursues Scotty, it seems that she is the only woman who doesn't want to be with him. At first she's a challenge, but Nick soon finds himself falling in love for the first time in his life. With a woman who wants nothing to do with him.

Can Scotty overcome her trust issues and fear to let Nick in? Or will she prove to be too broken to trust?

This is a full-length, 95,000 word, New Adult novel with mature themes.

I made myself read half the book, but it was difficult to even read that far. The book is completely dull and boring. The writing is repetitive and predictable.

Wow. This was intense. I liked how each of them told their sides of story.
Nick was such a player and a sleaze. I didn't like him at first, but when he defended her against Shane I thought he does love her.
Scotty was such a wonderful girl. My heart hurt for the trauma she went through when she was 14.
That said, I kind of thought he should have taken more time to really court her. He thinks with his penis. His heartless way of going from woman to women bedding them made me sad and a little sick. I get he had issues but the way he dealt with them was just wrong. I'm shocked he was clean.
I hope he really becomes the good man Scotty deserves. Anxious to read the next one.

This book was so bad it inspired my first review

I finish every book and I could not finish this. The protagonist is a victim that can only be saved by a fantasy man who is completely unbelievable. The dialogue is unreadable and neither character seems to have a brain. I don't think this author has ever been in a relationship.
