Best Book Series
I’ve read this book multiple times. It never gets old. Coe Booth does an excellent job of making you feel as if you are in the story. Great read!
RECOMMEND
I absolutely love her books bronxwood and Tyrell . If you are wanting to something relative and in depth to real life things that happen to families and young men in the projects this is a great book. I wish she wrote more , I’ve read the book more than a handful of times .
Great Read
Both "Tyrell" and "Bronxwood" are compelling and lifting stories. The details in both stories allow you to build an image of all involved characters, and be consistent with the storyline. The transition from "Tyrell" to "Bronxwood" was remarkable; she captured events in both that helped with the transition. Lastly, she ensured it wasn't a fairytale; thus meaning, real life situations occurred and the endings weren't the best- just like real life. Though, both stories ended well- realistically. Great book! Recommend this to 8th graders and up.
Disclaimer: I'd enjoy reading another story regarding Tyrell's life as a teen to an adult.
