Relax on a silent night and dive into Christmas Brides, a lush historical holiday anthology featuring a brand-new story from USA Today bestselling author Alexandra Hawkins. And back by popular demand from last Christmas, previously published One Hot Scot, The Scandal Before Christmas, and It Happened Under the Mistletoe are back to deck the halls in this sensual Christmas collection.
One Hot Scot by Suzanne Enoch
Duncan Lenox lives surrounded by enemies, a MacLawry in a land of Campbells. But when an English beauty has nowhere else to turn, he feels obligated to help. Now that they must spend a night together in an abandoned cottage while a storm rages on, will their mutual passion save—or doom—them both?
Once Upon a Christmas Scandal by Alexandra Hawkins
Lady Ellen is outraged when she learns her dowry's been increased by her dad, eager to draw every bachelor in England to her front door. So when Lord Swainsbury comes knocking, Ellen assumes he's another dreadful fortune hunter. Little does she know that Swainsbury has completely fallen for her—body, heart, and soul…
The Scandal Before Christmas by Elizabeth Essex
Lieutenant Ian Worth needs a wife by Christmas. He has to find her, woo her, and wed her before he goes back to sea. Anne Lesley is a shy spinster with no prospects, so she accepts Ian's hasty offer only for the security it will bring. But when a midwinter storm rolls in, things start to heat up between them…and they might just find true, honest-to-goodness love…It Happened Under the Mistletoe by Valerie Bowman
Oliver Townsende intends to avoid the hordes of marriage-minded misses at a friend's holiday party. When he meets Miss Cerian Blake, who's dodging her own unwanted set of admirers, the two decide to join forces and fake an infatuation to keep their suitors at bay. But when mistletoe becomes involved, will their Christmastime prank turn into a love to last all seasons?

From Publishers Weekly

Sep 01, 2014 – Harried holiday readers will appreciate these short, sweet, satisfying, and sexy Regency-era novellas. In Enoch's "One Hot Scot," boy meets girl in the Scottish Highlands, boy protects girl from would-be rapist, boy and girl marry the next day. In Hawkins's sweet "Once Upon a Christmas Scandal," a stranger appears at the Courtlands' London home in time to celebrate Christmas and vie for Lady Ellen's hand and generous dowry. But that's mere subterfuge for his real motives. Longest and most developed of the four is Essex's "The Scandal Before Christmas." Confirmed bachelor Ian Worth is ordered by his imperious father to marry within the week. His fierce charm transforms mousy Anne Lesley from bland to beautiful, even as familial hijinks ensue. Finally, what happens under the mistletoe in Bowman's "It Happened Under the Mistletoe" is not nearly as interesting as what happens in the silver closet when two avowed marriage-evaders conspire to buck tradition. Fans of shorter romances will find these amply rewarding.

Love Christmas romances!!!

One Hot Scot by Suzanne Enoch 4.5 stars
Great story about an English woman escaping the Highlander that kidnapped her only to run into the arms of another Highlander who steals her heart.

Fairy magic indeed! Wonderful short! Duncan Lennox is one sexy Highlander.

Once upon a Christmas Scandal by Alexandra Hawkins 4.5 stars
Derrick, Lord Swainsbury, was searching for his sisters killer. When he found out that Lord Netherley was tripling his daughters dowry he knew all kinds of fortune hunters will be after Lady Ellen. His sister's killer is sure to show up. After meeting Lady Ellen, he wants her dowry or not.

Great story! A lot of story packed into a small amount of pages. I enjoyed reading this historical Christmas romance.

The Scandal Before Christmas by Elizabeth Essex 5-stars
Ian Worth needed a wife. His father's heir, his brother Ross, was in an accident and thought not to recover and his cold hearted father wants to line up the next heir. When an old friend from the Navy said he's got a daughter that he could marry, Ian jumped at the chance. At first glance Anne Lesley seemed plain but Ian would soon learn there are many layers to his future wife.

Fantastic! Great characters with a smooth flowing story. I only wish it were longer.

It Happened Under the Mistletoe by Valerie Bowman 5 stars
They both need to marry. Oliver needs a dutchess and wants someone to marry him because she loves him and not his money. Cerian has no title, doesn't care about having one and wants to marry for love. They're perfect for each other, right? They don't realize it but the cat wandering the halls of the Medford's Christmastide house party certainly does.

Loved this one! The matchmaking cat was brilliant!

I love Christmas and what's better than romance during the Christmas season. This is a wonderful set of stories from four fantastic authors!

Received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Some fun reads

One Hot Scot by Suzanne Enoch
This is a fun, romantic and fast paced short story that I very much enjoyed. It's the second book that I've read of Suzanne Enoch's the first being book one of the series "The Devil Wares Kilts" a 5* read that I highly recommend.
The title is very true and Duncan is really one hot scot. He and Julia had great chemistry and even though their relationship move incredible fast it was also believable with how they felt for each other even with just meeting. I can not wait to read the next book.

Once Upon a Christmas Scandal by Alexandra Hawkins
I enjoyed the short story but felt very lost in the beginning. This is the end I think of a series and to truly enjoy you need to read the series. That way you have a understanding and knowledge of the secondary characters. Ellen and Derrick had a very fast and quick relationship over the Christmas Holliday to quick for me but still enjoyable. I may just go back and start at the beginning of the series.

The Scandal Before Christmas by Elizabeth Essex
I'm really not sure if I enjoyed this story or not. I finished it and if I've done that I usually give it a 3* rating because it kept my attention enough to finish it. But I did not enjoy the way it was written. The language/wording was a bit hard to understand for me, at times I had to reread the sentence. There were times in the story that I felt the chemistry between Ian and Anne but then it would be gone.

It Happened Under the Mistletoe by Valerie Bowman
This is the first story I've read by Valerie Bowman and it will not be my last. I laughed and cried throughout the book and I loved the hero and heroine along with the secondary characters. Oliver and Cerian had great chemistry and it was a pleasure to read how they found their HEA.
