Description

Mila D. Aguilar was known as Clarita Roja, or "Clear Red," during the Marcos martial law period in the Philippines. She was a top official of the Communist Party of the Philippines. In 1990, however, she became a Christian. Today, her poems are still Clarita Roja's, Clear Red, but the red now stands for the blood of Christ.

Chronicle of a Life Foretold: 101 Poems (1995-2003) is Mila D. Aguilar's seventh book of poems, following her definitive collection Journey: An Autobiography in Verse (1964-1995). Interesting to see how she started to look at the world from 1995 to 2003.
