Moira’s life is finally heading in the direction she worked herself silly to achieve. She recently graduated from college at the top of her class, and before she heads to graduate school in the fall, she embarks on a two-week holiday with her besties in Ireland to celebrate.
It is supposed to be the trip of a lifetime – one where she figures she can finally change her virginal status. Only, nothing goes as planned.
Moira and her two friends get chased into another world by a big, freaking winged monster, and her life just goes downhill from there. At least… until she meets this really hot guy who shows her just how incredible the horizontal tango can be. There’s just one teensy little problem: once they do the deed, she kind of ends up mated to him – for life.
Now Moira has to figure out if she can give up the life she always thought she would lead, for the one man in all the universe she is fated to love.
Publisher’s Note: While this is the second book in the steamy, paranormal Alcyran Chronicles series, it can be enjoyed as a standalone.

Loved the story
This is a great time travel story revolving around Moria and her two friends falling thru a black void into another world. There she is captured and presented as a gift to the vampire king, Valerian who feels a strong attraction to her as if she were his fated mate. He has a hard time believing that she is not a spy but when he tastes her blood he realizes she has been telling the truth. The book is fill of action, adventure, excitement, a battle and a mating. This is a great read that will hold your attention until the very end. This is the second book in this series and is a great continuation of the story. I would recommend this book as a great read.
Claimed By The Beast is the second book in the Acyran Chronicles. This series has a mixture of; vampires, shape shifting four legged animals, witches and flying beasts al living on another inter-dimensional planet. Old and new characters come together to unravel the secrets and evils of the other clans that inhabit this imaginary planet. I count Ms. Summers as being genius for creating her own world.
Moria, an Historian, and a fated mate unbeknownst to her is literally dropped onto Destuna, another planet. Aside from some residual self esteem issues; Moira is smart and feisty. I liked her from the start because she wasn’t a simpering coward when she was dropped on this foreign place.
Valerian, King of the Trullo a species of half vampire/human, is both strong and sexy and Moira’s fated mate. There was no denying that he wanted his fated mate, since there haven’t been any fated mates in over a century.
A vacation trip to Dublin, Ireland for Moria and her two best friends turns into a trip to another world. Each friend gets wisped away by a different clan. With treason, spells and courtly plots, all the characters, and clans don’t get lost. Like the first book in this series, this book is loaded with very detailed scenery, sex scenes and characters.
I rated this book five out of five starts because, I enjoy all of Ms. Summers books because of her attention to detail, the genuine heated interaction between teh hero and heroine, the intertwining plots and hppyy endings.
