Clash: Cal and Macy's Story Book 1

Clash (verb): to conflict, disagree
It might be fair to say that I despise Macy Carrington. She slings insults with precision, not caring about the destruction she leaves in her wake. We clash in a battle of wills every time we’re around each other, and yet… I still fantasize about being lodged deep within her body.
Clash (verb): to come together or collide
I have never encountered someone that grates me the way Cal Carson does. His pompous, arrogant demeanor. A holier-than-thou attitude. Any interaction with “Saint Cal” ends in a verbal clash of epic proportions, and yet… there’s no one I’d rather have in my bed than him.
Clash (noun): a battle, fight or skirmish
Her breathy moans mingle with the sound of our flesh coming together, clashing with the silence that surrounds us, dispelling any notions I once had about Macy Carrington.
Maybe I can break down her walls if we can call a truce to this battle.
He whispers filthy words in my ear, provoking feelings I never knew were possible. The burning desire in his touch clashes with everything I once believed about Cal Carson.
Maybe he can be the balm I need to soothe my broken soul, if only temporarily.
**Cal and Macy’s story is a trilogy within the Legal Affairs series. All three books—Clash, Grind and Yield—must be read in order. You do not have to read the other Legal Affairs books to understand this trilogy.
Clash - book 1 of 3
I am so glad these books will be coming out close together! Clash (Book 1) ends on a very frustrating cliffhanger. Cal and Macy are a combustible combination to say the least. They are always insulting and bickering with one another at the beginning of the story, but when insults become especially nasty is when the sparks really fly. I really love the chemistry between Cal and Macy! And , for one, can't wait to see where it will go from here.
Macy and Cal are acquaintances that are connected by friends. They have this crazy way of acting around each other. They can't help themselves! They constantly try to tear each other down. The insults just fly from both of them. One day while tossing insults at each other, they ended up in her pantry, during a party at her house. It was the BEST SEX EVER for both of them! Now she's being sued and Cal has reluctantly agreed to represent her with the specific agreement that they cannot sleep together while he is her attorney. How will they ever keep their hands off each other?
This is a funny and very sexy story. The more I learn about Macy, the more I see the reasons she acts the way she does. I just want to give her a hug. Cal? He's very sexy and yes, sometimes he has me thinking "he's such a girl" because his thoughts are often those that a woman would think. He's very sensitive that way. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
