This introductory, algebra-based, two-semester college physics book is grounded with real-world examples, illustrations, and explanations to help students grasp fundamental physics concepts. College Physics features learning objectives, conceptual questions, interactive labs and simulations, as well as ample practice opportunities to explore traditional physics application problems.
What's New in Version 1.3
Good, not great.
The main reason i bought this as opposed to just using the free pdf version was for incorporation of interactive materials from the PHet Simulations… however at this point there are only 7 available, out of the 79 linked from the original document. A bit disappointing, but if quite a few more of these modules were incorporated I would be happy with my purchase.
BEWARE! THE PROBLEM SETS NUMBERING IS DIFFERENT!!!
This is the text I had to get for my physics class. I did my homework and when I turned it in, I discovered that I had done all the wrong exercises! The problems are numbered differently from the free versions and the teacher manual. I have to redo my homework. Also, the book does not provide adequate examples for working the problems. There is nowhere to turn with some of the harder problems. Even the students’ solutions manual just shows the answer; it does not show how the problem was worked out. This semester is gonna be a bumpy ride!
When I wanted a sample to see if it worked on my laptop rather than an ipad, because I don't have one, it said I needed one... If anyone knows if it works on their computer and what year your computer is then it'd be very helpful because my laptop is about 2 years old. I am very disappointed and they mainly want me to fail physics... jk but seriously I needed it on my computer.
