Description

Cole Campbell is buried in Kate’s past, along with their debate club, football games and prom. Or maybe not. Sometimes a girl can’t shake off her memories. Late at night they whisper to her, like beach waves lapping the shoreline. Persistent. Strong. Seductive.

In this heartwarming beach romance, duty calls Kate Kennedy back to Gull Harbor. She doesn’t plan on seeing Cole again. Doesn’t know he’s now a single father. Ten years shift the balance between the valedictorian and her high school hero. Kate discovers Cole’s daughter Natalie in the stacks of the local library and she’s smitten. Prissy, Cole’s Great Dane, is equally engaging and needy. Always helpful, Cole shows up on Kate’s doorstep way too often. But she can’t give in to the SOS her heart is sending since the handsome contractor is taking her beloved Gull Harbor in an alarming direction. If there’s one thing Kate can’t stand, it’s change.

Kate extends her visit and opens a flower stand. She pairs Natalie up with her recovering mother for summer support and companionship. With summer kisses on their minds and sand between their toes, Kate and Cole discover what might have been ten years ago, but she has lots of distractions. Her sister Mercedes is determined to sell Breezy Point, the family home. Kate’s life feels as choppy as the waves on Lake Michigan as her summer unfolds. Choppy and exciting.

Can a woman and man heal past mistakes in the summer moonlight? Can Kate’s man from yesterday be more than just a memory?

Loved Finn!

"Always on His Mind" by Barbara Lohr is book two in the "Man from Yesterday" series. This is Mercedes Kennedy and Finn Wheeler.

Mercedes and Finn were best friends in high school. They were complete opposites. Finn has always been crazy about Mercedes but he is the nerdy guy and she is a homecoming queen.

Now, things are different. Mercedes is back in Gull Harbor and is down on her luck. Finn now owns half of Gull Harbor and is an extremely attractive guy. Mercedes and Finn paths cross again. Finn is still crazy about Mercedes.

The reader could feel the attraction between Mercedes and Finn. Will Mercedes and Finn be able to find true love? Or will Mercedes not take a chance on true love due to her personal and business struggles?

This is a sweet story of two people that get a second chance at love. Another winner for Barbara Lohr. I love her stories. They get your attention right away and keep it.

Coming Home to You

I received a copy of this book for an honest review. I recommend this book as really sweet story with great supporting characters. At times you will laugh and cry. Cole and his daughter Natalie have a dog named Prissy. Prissy was a great addition to the story. The way the author describes the town and people of Gull Harbor makes you want to be a part of their community. If you are looking for a sweet and clean story, this is a good book for you. I enjoyed the story just wanted a little more romance between Cole and Kate. The author did a great job in setting up for the next stories in the series. I'm looking forward to reading them.

Perfection!

This book is the perfect summer beach read. A terrific storyline about coming home broken only to rediscover the magic of youth and the joy of connecting with the people who know you when you're not sure you still recognize yourself. A bittersweet and achingly poignant romance.
