Crazy Madly Deeply
This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
Holden sees things. Lots of things. Things we would call ugly, but he believes are beautiful.
He paints sad pictures. And strums lonely guitars. He drowns out the taunting voices while shunning the expected norms.
I let them hurt him. I wasn’t strong enough to speak out. I hurt him, too, only to prove I wasn’t just like him.
But then I saw him. I heard him. I learned why Holden wasn’t CRAZY like they said.
I loved him MADLY. I fell for him DEEPLY. And alone, I decided to save a man who was the most beautiful of us all.
All The Feels!!
***5 ‘Large’ Stars***
I know I’ve used this term many, many times when describing how I felt about a book, and, if I am absolutely honest, is a major understatement when being applied to Crazy Madly Deeply, but what an emotional rollercoaster this book was. One moment I was all kinds of needing to gut someone with a spoon ragey, only to get the swoons the next moment even as my heartbroke. It really was a vicious cycle that was on a constant loop right up until the bitter end when the author put the pieces back in some semblance of order and contentment.
Where to start with Holden and Michaela? Hows about at the end and how much I adored them and I did, in the end. The beginning...let’s just say they ended up on opposite ends of the spectrum, but having an understanding of why, even if I didn’t totally like it, had me waiting for the catalyst that would change them all, and what a moment it was. That moment brought about a domino effect and while the changes took time and it wasn’t always pretty, the truths that came out from it and how they dealt with them not only made them both stronger, but brought them closer and in the end was definitely worth it all.
This book was an experience. It is so much more than I expected that using too many words could possibly ruin it for others. The romance aspect was something of a slow build, but as it was closely tied to both Holden and Michaela’s evolutions it totally worked for me. There are quite a few issues the author tackles with brutal honesty in this story that some may be uncomfortable with, but they are necessary to the storyline. In the end I adored Crazy Madly Deeply, I devoured it, it slayed me on all levels and I cannot wait to see what the author has in store for us next!

Amazing Ugly Cry
5 Stars - 3 Flames
I usually find myself giving Ms. White 4 star reviews. Why? Because let's fact it, we're usually left with our mouth wide open, trying to process what the heck we just read (and that's FAR from being a bad thing). But this book was different. It's not the typical "dark" novel we normally expect. Is this a romance like categorized? Yes. But it's far from the typical romance books out there. And it's brilliant!!!
Holden is the outcast. The guy who doesn't fit in, but only because he's chosen not to. He's watched others in his town bend and mold to the cities norm, refusing to join in, while trying to keep those he cares about safe. It's amazing how one moment in time can have a ripple effect that not only effects you, but everyone around you.
Michaela is....Michaela. She's pretty, popular and does everything she's told to do. Which includes keeping quiet when her boyfriend says or does things that aren't right. Which includes doing what her parents say to do so that everyone can continue to live in their perfect little bubble. But what happens when she's forced to take a honest look at herself and life? Will she continue to conform, or step outside her perfect little box?
I spent the first 25% of this book crying. No lie. The tragedies that take place are unimaginable. I then spent the following 50% flipping pages, glued to each and every word written, absorbing the truths that plague so many in this world. Then, I spent the last 25% balling my eyes out like a little girl. I haven't ugly cried a book in over 4 years. 4. YEARS!!!!! And then this b*!ch, I mean Ms. White, brings me to my freaking knees with this masterpiece. My heart is literally in pieces after reading this.
I WILL NOT RUIN this experience for you guys. I will not taint your view or opinion by providing examples or details to any part of this story. I will however leave you with a quote from a character in this story (not a main one, but important). And BTW, if you read my reviews, you know that I rarely use quotes, but this one is perfect.
"If that boy were a character in a book, I would swear the author hated him."
I don't hate you Holden, you're beautiful!!!!
