Explosion, Arson, Blackmail, Murder, Political Intrigue,
Ancient Skeletons and Artifacts....Dam Witherston has
it all!!!
Witherston is town in North Georgia. The Mayor of
Witherston wants to build a dam to create a lake. This
lake would be on top of a sacred Cherokee burial
ground. Then the Mayor Rather, a prominent attorney
and a gun shop owner receive blackmail letters to drop
money at an old shed using to store fishing equipment.
The shed is blown up and a dead body discovered.
Detective Meg Arroyo and her teenage twin boys start
to investigate. The twins saw a man in a canoe after the
explosion. They are able to help solve this puzzle.
Fast-paced, interesting characters, plenty of suspense,
skillful weaving of stories spanning several centuries
plus humorous happenings.
Plenty of animals were involved within the story:
Sequoyah, Mighty and Ama (lab-terrier mixes), Coco
Chanel the Pomeranian, Renoir the poodle, Tracker the
100 lb bloodhound, Gandhi the Great Dane, Swift the
German Shepherd, Muddy the Bassett hound, Bear
a Newfoundland mix and Rufus the Border Collie.
There was an talking parrot named Doolittle that added
flavor to the story.
This read was filled with plenty of mystery, twists and turns
keeping the reader on their toes.
