From the New York Times bestselling author of Speaking in Bones—“Fans of TV’s CSI: Crime Scene Investigation should be in heaven” (People) stepping into the world of forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance Brennan, star of Kathy Reichs’s electrifyingly authentic bestsellers.
Nine-year-old Emily Anne Toussaint is fatally shot on a Montreal street. A North Carolina teenager disappears from her home, and parts of her skeleton are found hundreds of miles away. The shocking deaths propel Tempe Brennan from north to south, and deep into a shattering investigation inside the bizarre culture of outlaw motorcycle gangs—where one misstep could bring disaster for herself or someone she loves.

Reichs write a good story! She writes great characters! The action can be intense, and the suspense can keep you guessing. The murders take place in 2 countries, and over long time spans. I found the story fascinating!
Despite the fact I still have trouble reading the French, I have not read a single book that Dr. Reique(sp) has written, that I have not enjoyed emmenssly(sp). Thank you Doctor.
Not up to standards
Well edited, but the story never grabbed me and the characters were irritating in their stupidity, rather than like able.
