Description

From New York Times Bestselling Author, J. Sterling comes a realistic story about long distance romance and love. Jules was a self-professed workaholic who put love on the back burner while she focused on making a name for herself in her career. Cal Donovan was the exact same way. He even had a timeline and everything- women didn't factor into his equation for at least a few more years. But a chance meeting between the two of them changes everything. Suddenly, love doesn't seem like such a bad idea. But how do you make things work when you live across the country from one another and you both still want to succeed in your jobs? What follows is an emotional look into the realities of long-distance romance and finding out who you really are when you thought you already knew.

Customer Reviews

Dear J, I loved this!

I have read many of this author's stories, but there is something unique and special about this one. It's like a personal journal of a couples progression into their relationship. The flow is smooth, and the romance is realistic. The H/h are likable and relatable, the reader is rooting for them to find happiness. I literally could feel their relationship growing, and it was wonderful to experience. Looking forward to more from this series.

Not all hearts that beat are broken...

I've always been a fan of J. Sterling's books and though I thought none of her characters could top Jack Carter.... Dare I say I think I love Cal a little more...

For me this book evokes so much emotion behind each paragraph. As you dive into this book and when you get to see Jules' raw emotions expressed through words it is like it was your heart that got broken, you're the one who couldn't cope. I love that I was so entranced by the book it brought into its world.

Hearts are fickle and love can be confusing but the heart wants what it wants in the end... And a determined heart will eventually heal and love again. That is the beauty of this book for me that it sends out a positive message that though times may feel like they are weighing you down give it time and your heart will soar.

I am already missing Jules and Cal's story and I need to know what happens in the next stage of their life.... Thank you for writing such a emotion provoking book reminding me not to give up on love just yet.

Good read!

This is the first book I have read by this author. What a sweet romance. Enjoyed the entire cast of characters. If we could only think with our minds vs. our hearts. 😊
