From New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan comes a second chance romance about a hotshot quarterback and the one girl who isn't falling for his game.
I broke her heart ten years ago and left town.
She hates me, and rightly so. It doesn’t matter that the rest of the country loves me, that I’m a starting quarterback with a multimillion-dollar contract. Because when I look in the mirror, all I see is a failure who was too young—and too afraid—to fight for what I wanted.
But I’m not that guy anymore, and all I need is one shot to convince her.
He has no idea what happened after he left. And now I’m supposed to work alongside him like we don’t have this huge, messy history?
But I’m older now, wiser, and I won’t let anything stand in my way of doing a good job for this league. Not even one overpaid, arrogant player who thinks we’re going to kiss and make up.
News flash, buddy: I am over you.
Great second chance romance!
I do love me some second chance romance. It doesn’t really matter if it’s an angsty or sweet, though I will be honest and say I do like a good serving of angst, I simply enjoy watching as two people come to the realization that the attraction, the connection, that they once had is still there and work through the issues that drove them apart and Dear Jane served up a good dose of that for me. It was a sweet, funny and smexy ride that while low on the OTT angsty drama, it did serve up a few moments that caused the rolling of eyes and growling in frustration as I kept turning the pages to see just where Jane and Weston would end up.
I really liked Jane. She’s sassy, sweet, hard working and intelligent and the fact that she is all about football and worked her way up in the organization on her own merit. Weston. This man. He is a good man, who loves his job and does his best to keep the drama on the DL, but he does tend to do the tunnel vision thing and sometimes the conversations he has in his head edge towards that side of the spectrum instead of outside of it.
Jane and Weston’s journey to their HEA was a fun one overall. For the most part, they did their best to act like the adults that they were and realize that while there were somethings that stayed the same, they had grown up. There were a few things that gave me whiplash and had me rolling my eyes, but I understood the why’s behind them. As for what happened to initially break them apart...I gotta say I was totally Team Jane on that one. I understood the circumstances behind it all, but totally Team Jane and as for the big sink hole that occurred in their second chance? Yup. Still Team Jane, but the grovelling was done perfectly.
This was a fun, sweet read, even with the eye rolling going on and I really enjoyed how everything worked out in the end. As for the secondary characters, Colin and Alexei are my favs, especially Alexei and I cannot wait to get my hands on his book when it comes out!

Flirtatious, fiery, and emotional!
A flirtatious, fiery, and emotional second-chance romance that will make you fall in love with sports romances all over again!
Dear Jane gives you everything you love about Kendall Ryan romance – excitement, entertainment, and a love story that’s not only red hot but loaded with feels.
Weston and Jane have a complicated and somewhat unresolved history. Tensions arise, and old wounds resurface when Weston is traded to a new football team, the same team Jane works for. And after 10 years apart, their chemistry and attraction to one another clearly hasn’t gone away, along with the hurt and pain that accompanies their reconnection. But can these two make a relationship work again, or will responsibilities and ambition tear them apart for a second time?
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, just like every book the author releases. Dear Jane showcases another aspect to the author’s writing style that makes her readers crave even more from her. The connection between Weston and Jane was intense, giving an enemies-to-lovers-ish vibe to the storyline at first, that quickly transforms into a second chance love story with emotional baggage and unresolved issues. But as entertaining as this book was, I personally think the characters restarted their relationship a little too quickly, as given evidence from the story by how hurt and emotionally crushed Jane was when her relationship with Weston ended the first time. (A very big specific reason I won’t state, as that would be way too spoiler-y.) It just seemed a little bit rushed for my taste. But otherwise, the story was fantastic. The dynamic between them was not only smoking hot, but hilarious and downright swoon worthy!
If you love a fun, sweet, and sexy love stories with a sports theme and dreamy characters, then Dear Jane is just the book for you! A highly recommended quick steamy read.
Loved it! Another hit from Kendall. The Dear Jane scene was so sweet and not at all how I interpreted the title. The characters had a lot of hurt and history to navigate. I enjoyed watching the relationship evolve. Can’t wait for Alexi’s story. Great characters and a unique storyline.
