This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
Hold on tight, stick to the racing line, and watch for the corners.
Four years ago, Declan Reede chose race cars over romance to follow his dreams. Foul-mouthed and as known for his bedroom antics as his performance on the track, his life was better than he'd imagined it could be.
But that was before Queensland Raceway...
Before the chance sighting of the girl he left behind.
The idea of her in another's arms threatens everything Declan has worked toward. Haunted by what might have been, he's unable to return to his carefree lifestyle. With six crashes from six starts, his career is racing downhill faster than his V8 on Mount Panorama.
To put the brakes on his decline, he must get her out of his head. But how can he once he discovers she's hiding the mother of all secrets and there's more at risk than just his reputation?
Find out more in this second chance romance filled with hope and hurt mixed with a unique Aussie flavour.
Dark, not for everyone
This is a dark romance and I can only hope the last book in the series has a happy ending. Being a warm and fuzzy type of girl, I don't think I can read the rest of the series since it doesn't seem there is a happy ending. However, this author writes absolutely wonderfully. First off, this story is from a male's point of view and his life is pretty much spiraling out of control. It's interesting seeing the other side of things rather than just a womanizing drunk. Second, Michelle (author) does an excellent job of garnering your sympathy for Declane, seeing his struggles and how he attempts to regain control, but not without obstacles, sometimes of his own making. You see how a person who is an addict thinks and not realizing they have a problem with alcohol. This book feels REAL... the emotions and actions you can imagine really happening. I definitely recommend this book, but only if you don't mind not having a happily ever after. I seriously hope there is one...
