Great start to a hot and exciting series
First I want to say another terrific read from one of my favorite authors. Terri Anne Browning-Author did an excellent job portraying the mafia world. This was her first turn at the popular genre and she knocked it out of the park with a tough chic heroine that you want to be bffs with and a hot as hell alpha male mafia capo. Ciro thought sending Scarlett away would make her move on he thought he could forget her. Nope not possible these two were destined to be together. I adored them as a couple the chemistry was off the charts. I especially loved the closeness of Scarlett and her twin Victoria I can't wait for her story. I also thought the other secondary characters were well thought out and played nicely into the overall story. I don't know which one is next but I will take anyone of these characters. Great start to a new series. Totally recommend.
Great new mafia series!
I love me a mafia book and Ciro is to die for! Not literally but he is pretty darn swoony! He loves Scarlett but doesn't want her tied up in his mafia life so he pushes her away. He doesn't want to tie her to him but he doesn't want her getting into a relationship with anyone else. And he will make certain that doesn't happen.
Scarlett is a pistol! She gives as good as she gets and she makes me think of Mob Wives for some reason. A woman who won't take things lying down and go meekly away. And Vito, her dad, loves her for that. She is the stronger of the twins and the one Vito relies on looking out for her twin.
I love these strong women books and mix in a hot, huge, alpha and I'm all over it! I definitely can't wait for more of this series! I'm curious if Victoria gets her happy ending or if we hear about their brother Cristiano....
