3, Destiny Trilogy
This book can be downloaded and read in Apple Books on your Mac or iOS device.
In national bestselling author Beverly Jenkins' Destiny series, the Yates men play hard and live hard. And when they find that special woman, they fall hard . . .
Noah Yates fully believes in the joys of a happy family and a good wife. But that's not the life for him. No, he would much rather sail the wild seas in search of adventure, not tied down. But then the unthinkable happens . . . he finds himself literally tied down. To a bed. By a woman.
And Pilar isn't just an ordinary woman. She's descended from pirates. And after giving him one of the worst nights of his life, she steals his ship! Now Noah is on the hunt, and he'll stop at nothing to find this extraordinary woman . . . and make her his.
Did she want to write this?
Let me say that Beverly Jenkins is one of my favorite authors. I have read all that she has written. This series started slowly, but heated up with the spice and unexpected flavor of the second installation. However, this novel lacked the intrigue, detail, and story development Jenkins is well known to include in her writing. In short, the book is not bad. It is what I would expect from a less talented and capable writer. I expected more than a bland retelling. It seems as if Ms. Jenkins' passion is transferring to a different genre. Her Blessings series feels as if it has her heart more so than the romance series. As we grow, we change. It is inevitable and welcomed. Still a fan, just didn't like this book. Maybe a visit back to Andre Renaud's story would rejuvenate. His would be a very intense and well developed story.
Love through life
Life isnt perfect an I love how Beverly weaves reality with romance. Another great historical by Ms.Jenkins.
This book was awesome. I read it in a day and it was worth the loss hours of sleep. Noah Yates has become a hero I'll never forget. Ms. Jenkins, you told his story well. The pain of his story is real for a lot of men today. Thank you for giving him the love of Pilar very a strong woman. I will miss the Yates.
