One of my new favorites in the first of what promises to be an amazing series!!! Honor has long ago learned not depend on anyone too much because if you do, they will probably walk away. Honor has bought her first house at a great price since it's a bit of an eyesore and it needs a lot of work, but she fell in love with it and it's closer to the medical facility where her beloved grandpa, the man who raised her, is sick with dementia and she can get to him more easily. Her best friend, Lexie, is hesitant about the house but can't complain about the view, since it seems Honor is surrounded by sexy single men. Jason is intrigued by his new neighbor and the crazy schedule she keeps, it's driving him crazy that he can't figure out where she goes in the middle of the night or why she fights his offers of help so much. When Honor's house gets broken into and strangers are seen skulking around, Jason sets out to prove that Honor can trust and depend on him and the only place he'll ever be is right by her side. This book was fantastic!!! I understood why Honor was so afraid to lean on anyone, even Lexie, and why she was so insistent in doing it on her own. She didn't want to burden anyone or make them feel obligated to her in any way. Jason was everything Honor needed and more, he knew when to push and when to give her some space. I loved that Lexie got her own HEA in this as well but I also hope we get a novella or something so we can get a more in depth look at them. Sullivan is one of the gorgeous neighbors of Honor's and is a martial arts instructor, he teaches all ages but his focus is the at risk kids, kids like what he use to be before an MMA instructor took him under his wing. He wants to help kids the same way he was helped and he can't afford any distractions, especially gorgeous blonde party girls like Lexie. Lexie and Sullivan agree to a one night stand but Lexie decides she wants more, she signs up for a month of martial art classes and shows up on the night when Sullivan is with the older at risk kids. Sullivan is stunned and impressed at how Lexie praises and boosts all the kids self esteem seemingly without trying. He realizes that he has severely misjudged her and that there is more to her then the party girl persona she shows everyone. I can't wait for more of this series!!!! *I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review*
Jason Guthrie is great at fixing and building anything and is helping his widowed brother and nephew who are living with him. He is a busy man, but when Honor Brown moves into the rundown house next door he can't help think that she is in over her head when it comes to fixing it back up. Honor is determined to do everything on her own and no matter how much Jason wants to help, she declines. Honor has a strong desire to be independent and do everything herself, including running herself ragged working, fixing up her house, and taking care of her sick grandfather. Jason finds himself wanting to be the person that takes care of Honor and knock down the walls she's built around herself.
Sullivan Dean lives across the street from Honor and Jason and has a fascination with Honor's best friend Lexie. Sullivan is a martial arts instructor that helps troubled children, and also his main priority. Sullivan sees what Lexie shows on the surface that she is a party girl, which is something that he avoids, but sees what's she's hiding when she signs up for his class. Lexie has a big heart and understands troubled children because she was always there for Honor when they were growing up. Sullivan can't seem to stay away from her.
Don't Tempt Me is a great read, you watch two people that are polar opposites fall in love and how they are always there for each other. Honor's family expands to include Jason, Hogan, Sullivan, Nathan, and Colt and of course Lexie. With this story I laughed, cried, and rooted for Jason and Honor to get their happily ever after. Sullivan was tougher for me to like since he seemed so aloof, but once we were able to see him in his element I could see his potential as well. I really hope we are able to see more of Hogan and Violet as well, I loved their chemistry. And I wanna try Hogan's ribs!!

sweet, easy, moving, contemporary romance
I was looking for a sweet, easy, moving, contemporary romance and that is just what I found in Don’t Tempt Me.
Honor is moving into a real “fix me upper”. Use to doing everything on her own, Honor is taken aback when her hot neighbor, his brother and his brother’s son come over to help. She doesn’t know how the ask or accept help which makes their first encounter quite rocky.
Honor puts everything into fixing her home, Jason can’t help but be impressed with Honor’s focus and conviction but he and his nephew keep inserting themselves into Honor’s life. Eventually they make that connection and break past her barriers.
When vandals strike at Honor’s home, she discovers that she has already collected a good group of neighbors that have become more than acquaintances.
Jason’s ex shows up, I had a hard time believing Honor was so unaffected even if they were destined to become best of friends, I don’t see any woman being 100% fine immediately with an ex. That was my only complaint with the story.
There is a side-romance between Lexie, Honor’s 1 friend, and Sullivan.
Overall, I found Don’t Tempt Meto be the perfect beach read romance.
