Samarias’s smile is a mask, hiding the dark secret eating at his soul.
After the Ilyium swept through Sami’s village in a brutal massacre when he was seven, he fled his world. He made a new life in Washington State but it wasn’t long before he was plunged into another nightmare. When he emerged, he hid how broken he was with silence.
Now at twenty-one, on the verge of his dragon awakening, Sami can no longer keep quiet. He hungers for revenge.
But fate never makes life easy. Confronted by the demons of his past, Sami faces some harsh decisions, making him delve deep to uncover his true desires.

If you read book 1 then hold on to your hats for this book because it will blow your socks clean off. It has more drama, action, betrayal and heartbreak and you won't want to put it down.
Caution this has a cliffhanger. I was given an advanced copy for an honest review. This is book 2 of Dracones by the author.
Great Second book!
This second book of the Dracones. Dracones Revelations is just as exciting and action-packed as the first book Dracones Awakening. This book is Sami's book. Sami or Samaris had a very unhappy and unorthodox childhood. He feels responsible for all of the bad things that happened to he and his brother. His brother, Jax found his soulmate in Tierney and had his awakening allowing his full integration with his dragon. Sami wants this love and his awakening too. He had a vision of his soulmate and in the vision she was burned alive. She did not die as she is a phoenix, her name is Hellfire. Hellfire is not a nice person. She may have her reasons but she destroys Sami, wanting nothing to do with him. Sami feels lost and hopeless.
He is given a mission to rescue a young female Dracones, Goldy. Goldy has not gone through her awakening and has not been told about her powers. She and Sami awaken their dragons together, forging a bond. It is not what he felt he had with Hellfire but it is good and bring light into his life in many ways.
We meet many more character and catch glimpses of returning characters such as: Amelis, Seville, Soroyan(my favorite), Thaniel, Genna, Kyrian,
Brimstone and Marcius. Along the way we learn more about Night-walkers and Day-walkers, werewolves, Phoenix and the amazing Okami Wolves.
This boom had me ignoring everything until I finished it. It was compelling and the characters are funny at times. Very witty dialog.
In short, or not so short, I loved it and look for much more from this author.
This is a MUST READ!!!
I truly fell in love with the first book, and then fell even further into the second. This is one of those series, that once you start reading, you just cannot put it down until it's finished. Expect to stay up late and be tempted to flip to the last page, because you just have to know how it ends. I didn't succumb to peeking at the last page and it was well worth the wait. So looking forward to reading the next book in the series and yet dreading when this series will end. All I can say is well done Sheri-Lynn, well done!!
