Description

Rolling Stone magazine called Butch Walker one of “America’s best singer-songwriters” and voted him a “Producer of the Year.” An American music industry giant, Walker has worked with some of today’s hottest talent, including Weezer, Katy Perry, Dashboard Confessional, Pink, Tommy Lee, Fall Out Boy, and The Donnas to name but a few. In his riveting memoir, Drinking with Strangers, Walker tells the fascinating story of his life and remarkable career, taking readers on a breakneck ride from his Georgia roots to the Hollywood music scene, and giving us a close up insider’s view of life behind closed recording studio doors.

Butch's Book

I didn't want this book to end, simply awesome. Waiting and needing a live butch show. It's been too long...
I am proud to say that even though it was less than two seconds, I am one of those strangers...I was the guy who ordered two shots of Jagur just before butch got off stage to sing in the crowd in Baltimore. My wife said" what are you doing?"
I replied " I'm ordering a shot for butch and I", he will be back here in a second...low in behold, butch grabbed and drank his shot and was gone, I was honored and just smiled at my wife!

Good read for any music fan

I have been hearing Butch Walker's name periodically throughout my adult life. I am proud to say that I saw SouthGang on New Years Eve in 1992, but kind of lost track of who Butch Walker was about 2 days after that. Now that my teenage daughter is a huge P!nk fan, I got curious enough about Butch to read this book. What an amazing talent! I've already downloaded a couple of his songs, and noticed that he is coming to my town next month in concert... Butch, I'll see you soon!
