Dying to Be Me

My Journey from Cancer, to Near Death, to True Healing

This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.

Description

In this truly inspirational memoir, Anita Moorjani relates how, after fighting cancer for almost four years, her body-overwhelmed by the malignant cells spreading throughout her system-began shutting down. As her organs failed, she entered into an extraordinary near-death experience where she realized her inherent worth . . . and the actual cause of her disease. Upon regaining consciousness, Anita found that her condition had improved so rapidly that she was able to be released from the hospital within weeks . . . without a trace of cancer in her body! Within these pages, Anita recounts stories of her childhood in Hong Kong, her challenge to establish her career and find true love, as well as how she eventually ended up in that hospital bed where she defied all medical knowledge. As part of a traditional Hindu family residing in a largely Chinese and British society, she had been pushed and pulled by cultural and religious customs since she had been a little girl. After years of struggling to forge her own path while trying to meet everyone else's expectations, she had the realization, as a result of her epiphany on the other side, that she had the power to heal herself . . . and that there are miracles in the Universe that she had never even imagined. In Dying to Be Me, Anita freely shares all she has learned about illness, healing, fear, "being love," and the true magnificence of each and every human being! This is a book that definitely makes the case that we are spiritual beings having a human experience . . . and that we are all One!

From Publishers Weekly

Apr 16, 2012 – Growing up in Hong Kong, Moorjani struggled to reconcile her traditional Hindu heritage with a Chinese culture largely under British influence. These divergent cultural expectations amplified a lifelong fear of disapproval and not being good enough. In 2002 she was diagnosed with Hodgkin s lymphoma, and in 2006 she slipped into a coma as her vital organs began shutting down, although she remained aware of everything going on around her. Describing her ensuing near-death experience as a realm of clarity and expansiveness, a state of being, Moorjani made the choice to return, and her rapid and remarkable recovery defies all medical understanding. Realizing that I am love was the most important lesson I learned, allowing me to release all fear, and that s the key that saved my life, Moorjani recalls. Her psychospiritual healing, which continues to this day, was self-realization: of her own magnificence, of oneness with universal energy and with a universe comprising. This candid memoir is a cathartic testimony to the magnificence and healing capacity of every human being.

Dying to be Me

I am going to read this book but from the synopsis, Ms. Moorjani is describing the universal Principals of Christian Science - that we are All created in the image and likeness of God and thus we are not material, but spiritual. By this realization, people have been healed... completely.

Living thru life

Thank you for a wonderful journey together. When I recently was diagnosed with rectal cancer I was very despondent and after reading your life changing events it reminded me of all the things I had forgotten about my spirituality and helped me turn my thoughts around. I have embraced the gift of cancer.
Thank you for teaching me to be my own fearless self.

This is an awesome book written by an amazing woman. I highly recommend "Dying to be me" to everyone.
We all are on a journey to search for life's meaning and looking for answers to questions about why we are here and what it will be like to go HOME.
No matter what "religion" we are all taught," LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED".
This is a book that I will definitely read and reread. It is on my iPad and iPhone so it's with me everywhere I go. Thank you Anita for sharing your experience with the world and thank you Dr. Wayne Dyer for helping her get this book published through Hay House for all to read. You are both a gift to the world.
