Eaglethorpe Buxton and the Elven Princess
This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
Eaglethorpe Buxton, famed adventurer and story-teller, friend to those in need of a friend and guardian to those in need of a guardian. He is a liar and braggart, not to be trusted, especially around pies. Who are we to believe? Buxton himself leads us through his world as he comes to the aid of… a poor orphan? An elven princess? Who can guess with Eaglethorpe himself telling the tale?
Charming and funny
Humor, good humor, and more than a bit of satire make this airy piece an easy and entertaining diversion.
I got this book because it was free, and I wanted to see how bad it was. The CGI cover art had me thinking it was going to be a terrible fantasy foray by a lonely high schooler.
I was quite surprised, as it was rather entertaining. I don't think I could read 200 pages of it, but for a quick read, it certainly was unique. I will be reading the next book in the collection.
I, like many others, tried this book out just because it was free and I was bored. As it turns out, I couldn't stop reading it.
It's hilarious and very well executed. Fantasy and humor haven't been this good since The Princess Bride. I can't believe this book was free. I can't believe it hasn't been made into a movie yet.
