Epilogue: The Dark Duet, no. 3

Book 3, The Dark Duet

This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.

I’m writing this because you begged. You know how I love the begging. In fact, you probably know too many things and know them far too well.

Who am I?

Well, that’s what I’m trying to figure out. I was a whore in my youth, a killer since my adolescence, and a monster as a man. I am the man who kidnapped Livvie. I am the man who held her in a dark room for weeks. But, most importantly, I am the man she loves.

She loves me. It’s quite sick, isn’t it?

Of course, there’s more to our story than can be surmised in a few short sentences, but I’m at a loss for justifying my behavior back then. I assume if you’re reading this, I don’t need to make those justifications. You’ve already made your own.

You’re reading this because you want to know about the rest of the story. You want to know what happened that warm summer night in September of 2010, the night I met Livvie at The Paseo. It was the night my life changed all over again.

It didn’t happen exactly as Livvie said. She’s been very kind to me in the retelling of our story. The truth is far more…complicated.

I LOVED all 3 books!!

What a great ending to a series! I was so sad when it ended but I love how it ended. I loved all the emotion behind both characters and I loved that she gave me both sides. Great story

Loved this third book. It was emotional and super sexy. Couldn't have asked for more!

Finding comfort in the dark

Caleb finds Livvie in Spain. They start spending time together and talking. They try to learn each other. They talk about the past and try to focus on the future. They try to solidify and mesh the past with the present. Livvie tries to understand her feelings for Caleb while Caleb finally has his feelings sorted out. He finally can admit he is in love with Livvie, but since Livvie spoke to Sloan she is confused about love.
I'm not sure how i feel about people being aroused by torture devises. It seems like a lot of work to achieve an orgasm. It seems with the amount of chemistry between them that they do not need any help with achieving an orgasm. I also am curious where Caleb learned about all these devises and toys? Did Rafiq teach Caleb not only how to be a killer but also a master at seduction? It seems odd since Caleb himself was a slave that he has no difficulty or fear in using such contraptions.
While I enjoy books about fetishes and sexual fantasies this is getting a bit redundant. I have never known people to spend most of their time having sex. It's as if there is not enough time in the day for all the sex they want. I guess with all the sex they have it must get boring so they have to get creative in order to achieve orgasms since they have so many in one day. Life must be nice to have so much time that the only way you want to spend it is inside the other. I guess when it's that good you can't help but want it frequently.
Sophia's taste has evolved. Everything Caleb taught her she gets to enjoy now that she no longer feared Caleb and trusted him. She craved variety because it's what Caleb taught her to understand.
Caleb tries to find purchase in this new world. He tries to make friends and tries to learn what it's like to be a boyfriend. He learns to celebrate birthdays and holidays.
It gave some answers to some of the questions I had about Caleb, but not enough. The reunion part was odd since I never focused on the age difference between them until it was addressed several times and then Livvie's age bothered me. But only because of her innocence and naive nature. While she is learning a great deal about her sexuality she still has a lot of growing to achieve.
