1. Introduction The measured hourly values of solar radiation data are not available for large number of stations. Thus, accurate estimation of hourly values of global and diffused solar radiation data is essential for the design and performance evaluation of solar energy systems. The hourly solar radiation can be estimated using Gueymard  daily integration approach. It requires measured value of daily solar radiation, which is not available for most of the locations. This can be estimated by using sunshine hour data or temperature data. A model has been developed based on latitude and altitude of a location to estimate monthly average global solar radiation using sunshine hour and temperature data (Chandel et al. ). The values of solar radiation obtained using this model are used to estimate hourly solar radiation following Gueymard  daily integration approach. In order to verify the accuracy of the results obtained, the hourly solar radiation is also estimated from the measured daily solar radiation data for Delhi.
