A sexy Scot. A mystical inheritance. What could go wrong?

Veternarian Hannah MacPherson knows better than to believe in love at first--or any--sight. True, being swept away by Taggart de Gaelson to the vast Scottish castle she's mysteriously inherited is uber-romantic. The legacy is totally legitimate, and its messenger is big, broad-shouldered, and smokin' in more ways than one . . .

Too bad Taggart forgot to mention that Hannah's also a Guardian of magical dragons called the Draecna. And as Hannah's sworn otherworldly protector, Taggart is honor-bound not to lay a hand on her, no matter how close he gets. . .

But turning duty into pleasure is just too tempting. And for Hannah, mastering her powers and saving two worlds from evil will be way easier than showing one hardheaded warrior that breaking all the rules means they are eternally made for each other . . .

From Publishers Weekly

Jan 16, 2012 – Greyson inexplicably won Brava s Writing with the Stars competition with this conventional paranormal. Outrageously alpha hero Taggart de Gaelson must find the one magically talented woman in the world who can save the sacred Draecna race of dragons from extinction. Feisty, overly stubborn Hannah MacPherson, a smalltown American veterinarian, is desperately clinging to the memory of her dead husband and immediately distrusts Taggart while, of course, fighting off a blazing hormonal reaction to him. As he tries to haul her off to Scotland, the usual baddies appear to throw snags in their way. The story seesaws between cutesy contemporary romance and moody paranormal before finding its way, and while Greyson earns points for jaunty writing, her unoriginal plot and overdrawn characters rely on stock formula rather than ingenuity.
