When Viola sprains her ankle, she thinks it's going to be a terrible week. But then she gets an icepack that gives her the sense of fairy temperature.
A 12,000 word children's fantasy story.
How exactly do you get a sense
[I volunteered to review this book after receiving it from the author]
“I think it’s all right,” Cassie said, pushing her glasses up her nose. “If they want fairy senses, why not ask? It’s asking for other people that’s the problem.”
Viola is about the only one of her friends who hasn't got a fairy sense. What she does have is a badly sprained ankle, and friends who squabble with each other. And when her parents don't believe her and need convincing, it opens up another whole chapter....
I have read almost the entire series. This one didn't hold my attention as well as the others did and it might be because Viola seems to be the pin that holds the friend circle together. And when she tries to be truthful, no one believes her. I didn't have much sympathy for her because she reminded me of me at that age. I wouldn't read this book without having read others in the series. 4 stars.
