Fighting Dirty

Book 5, Worth the Fight - Worth the Fight Series

This book can be downloaded and read in Apple Books on your Mac or iOS device.

If you love the MMA romances of Vi Keeland and Kendall Ryan, Sidney Halston’s Worth the Fight series will knock your socks off! In Fighting Dirty, a geek-chic cage fighter proves that appearances can be deceiving . . . and oh-so-tempting.
With his preppy clothes and horn-rimmed glasses, Enzo Silva is the last dude anyone expects to find in a mixed martial arts gym. A wealthy Brazilian banker who never had to fight for anything, Enzo’s stuck in the amateur circuit—but he burns to make the pros. Maybe that explains the heat he feels whenever he’s around Jamie Lynn Calhoun. The pint-size, magenta-haired bartender with the Texas drawl is everything he’s not . . . and everything he craves.
Tough as nails and independent to a fault, Jamie Lynn—JL to her friends—works hard to pay her bills and keep life simple. Enzo is doing his best to complicate that. Even though she likes to bust his balls, he’s got some kind of a nerdy-hot vibe that makes JL wonder if she might finally be able to let her guard down. It might do the boy some good to spend some time in her world, where blood, sweat, and victory are as sweet as the first taste of real love.

“The characters are entirely lovable, the banter is brilliant, the chemistry between them is indescribable, and the story itself is perfectly romantic. The Worth the Fight series is absolutely worth the read!”FicCentral
“Halston does hot well. . . . If you love an MMA touch and a passionately-in-love hero I recommend Fighting Dirty.”—Harlequin Junkie
“A complete swoony escape! It’s a fun, sweet and deliciously sexy story about a woman who is tough and confident on the outside but soft, caring and, yes, a bit damaged on the inside, and a very predictable and too uptight man who discovered that even though they came from two very different worlds, they were perfect for each other.”—TJ Loves to Read

From Publishers Weekly

Nov 23, 2015 – Too many clich s clog up Halston's fifth Worth the Fight contemporary, about a wealthy Brazilian developer and MMA fighter who romances a tattooed bartender from the wrong side of the tracks in small-town Florida. Jamie Lynn Calhoun spends a year turning down propositions from Enzo Silva. When she finally says yes, a few hours turns into four glorious days. Jamie worries about his wealthy, buttoned-up background, but he accepts her for who she is. Though Enzo loves how at ease he feels with Jamie, he worries what will happen when she learns that his business plans may derail the murals she paints with her street-artist friends. Readers will recognize Jamie's wariness of men, the chip on her shoulder, Enzo's evil ex-wife (who of course decides she wants him back), and several other elements of this been-there read-that novel.

Red Hot!

Loved this sexy MMA story by Sidney Halston. This is a opposite attracts, love story, that is sizzling hot. Great characters, in Enzo and Jamie Lynn as well as other supporting characters. I thought that they had great personalities and were so sexy. These two have such a great connection from the get go between them once Jamie Lynn agrees to a date. I loved the pull they had on each other and the twists and turns add a nice bit of drama and emotion to round it all out. Definitely a super schmexy 5 star read for me.

Jamie Lynn " JL" has been the object of Lorenzo Silva's "Enzo" insane attraction since he met her when he moved from Brazil a year ago and became best friends with her twin brother Travis. JL has been rejecting Enzo's advances until she gets a glimpse of what is beneath the stuffy suits that he usually wears when Enzo loses a bet and has to model in the nude for a local community college's art class.

Enzo has just recently signed his divorce papers. He had left Brazil after he caught his wife with his ex-best friend. He comes from a very affluent family and is working for the family business, Silva Conglomerate LLC working a lead to hopefully make millions. But when JL finally accepts an invitation to go out on a date with him this workaholic is forced to play by JL's rules and he has never ever had a date like this before. And uptight Enzo can't get enough.
" He kissed her like doing so would quench his thirst after being stuck in a desert."
" His stare felt like a warm caress all over her already ignited body. "

These two are red hot together. But what happen when reality sets in? You have got to read this to get all the juicy combustible action. Super Sexy!
Highly recommended!

A fun and sexy romance!!!

4.5 Stars
This is the story of Lorenzo "Enzo" Silva and Jamie Lynn "JL" Calhoun, twin sister to Travis Calhoun. Enzo has wanted her for a year and finally his divorce is over. Now he can pursue her in earnest. She always turns him down though. She's attracted to him but they come from two different worlds and it would never work. Enzo is an amateur fighter in his spare time. He's not a full time career MMA fighter. After he loses a bet and does something unexpected, she just might change her mind. What would be the harm in one dinner between the sexy serious business man and the tattooed, colored hair, combat boot-wearing pixie?

This book is a fun, sexy, and steamy romance. All the books in the Worth the Fight series are fantastic reads. I love visiting Tarpon Springs and the Academy where all the action is. Where the rough and tumble men find the women that turn their lives upside down. I can't wait for my next visit.

Loved it!

Thoughts: I have been a fan of this series since I read the first book, Against the Cage, last year. I also have to say that just reading the series has made me a big fan of Sidney Halston – we are talking one-clicking whatever comes out with her name on it! And I have been waiting to see what happens between these two characters for what feels like forever!

Enzo has been chasing after JL, his best friend’s sister for what seems like forever – however, you couldn’t find more polar opposites. Enzo is the staid businessman, living his life to fulfill the wishes and desires of his parents. JL is the free spirit – confident in herself and spontaneous to a fault. Of course, they couldn’t be more opposite – but it just works! I got so much enjoyment just reading about their wild, adventurous – and yes, spontaneous – first date. This book was just so fun, I have to say that this one has hit my favorite book in the series, so far.

Loved it, loved it, LOVED IT!
