Publisher Description
Flux is a somber narrative, an ode to change, a collection of poetry and prose written from the many states of grief over a broken heart. With original illustrations by artist Katie Roberts, Orion Carloto creates a dream world for the brokenhearted and paints a whimsical picture around the themes of love, loss, solitude, depression, sex, nostalgia, and unrequited romance.
Flux takes readers through a raw and sorrowful journey of each and every bitter moment of heartbreak. Forewarning, Flux is best read with a warm cup of coffee in hand.

Everything I Expected
Orion is someone who I’m never shocked to receive amazing work from. When she first announced this beautiful book, I was ecstatic. Reading and finishing it left me yearning for more, and I can only hope that she continues to write. Please, buy this beautiful piece of art.
Beginners Poetry
While not bad, I remember why I started and stopped reading Flux, on & off. It is written with from an amazing author’s tone but, too me, seems monotone throughout the entire book. Great word play and sentences but not out of the ordinary of a girl’s notepad/diary.
Just unfortunate
If you’re a fan of “fast poetry” or “consumer poetry” then this is the book for you! If you actually enjoy reading quality poetry then please don’t buy this. Orion’s writing may resonate with her fan base and young girls, but this is not quality writing. She writes in a confessional style, very emotional and personal. However, the great confessionals like Sylvia and Anne would frown upon such empty and cliche work.
This book is trying to be something it’s not. It felt rushed and childish, watered down, with no sense of connection. It read more like an angsty diary entry. If you want to read some cliche poetry then its fine, if you want to read REAL poetry don’t bother reading this book.
