“Hilarious, always inventive, this is a book for all, especially uptight English teachers, bardolaters, and ministerial students.”
—Dallas Morning News
Fool—the bawdy and outrageous New York Times bestseller from the unstoppable Christopher Moore—is a hilarious new take on William Shakespeare’s King Lear…as seen through the eyes of the foolish liege’s clownish jester, Pocket. A rousing tale of “gratuitous shagging, murder, spanking, maiming, treason, and heretofore unexplored heights of vulgarity and profanity,” Fool joins Moore’s own Lamb, Fluke, The Stupidest Angel, and You Suck! as modern masterworks of satiric wit and sublimely twisted genius, prompting Carl Hiassen to declare Christopher Moore “a very sick man, in the very best sense of the word.”

Where are the footnotes!?
In the original book there are countless footnotes scattered throughout the text. These are very important to the story, not to mention they are hilarious. The book is amazing but if I had known there were no footnotes I would never have purchased it. I paid for the whole book and only received part of it. The book is five stars but whoever put it up without the footnotes gets no stars
First! Okay now that that's out of the way...this book was wonderful! A bit different than his usual stuff but hilarious and a fun read as always. Once you get past the language it's tough to put down. 5 stars :)
Best Book Ever!
If you like raunchy humor and aren't easily offended, do yourself a favor and indulge! It helps to know some Shakespeare, he uses the language a bit; very "British Humor"; absolutely funny as hell!
