For fans of A KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR and Outlander....“Forever Mine is the best time-travel romance I’ve ever read, rivaling Jude Deveraux for intensity and chemistry between the hero and heroine.” — Lucy Monroe, USAToday bestselling author

“With Forever Mine, Monica Burns delivers another gorgeous and deeply emotional story with a smart, strong-willed heroine and a tortured and oh-so-sexy hero.” — Vanessa Kelly. Bestselling author of historical romance

“Monica Burns has once again gotten me to read and love a historical romance! Forever Mine is a phenomenally written story of a love that surpasses the barriers of time. At the end I cried ugly, gut-wrenching tears which I rarely do. The emotional last few chapters bled through my Kindle and directly into my soul. Monica Burns has written something truly magical. Forever Mine surpassed my expectations by miles and then kept on going.” — Nikki Brandyberry, Ramblings from a Chaotic Mind

This book is like the center of an Oreo, the best part of the cookie. Monica Burns has captured true romance and woven it into a time travel/reincarnation tale. The characters are so well developed and true. — B&N Reader Review

“Wow. Just wow. This book blew me away. I was so deeply connected to this story that I read this book in lieu of doing anything for the past two days. No laundry, no evenings working, the dishes are piled up and my poor kid is wondering where Mommy went.” — Kilts and Swords

Forever Mine

Loved it!!!!

Forever Love

Nick Barrows is obsessed with a portrait of the Countess of Guilford. He feels a powerful connection as if he had known her intimately. When he sees Victoria Ashton in his shop, he's stunned. She looks exactly like his countess. Nick needs to talk with her, but an explosion changes everything. She thrown back in time to 1897 and is married to Nicholas Barrows. Will these two find their forever love? This story is wonderful. Monica Burns has written an emotionally intense story filled with well-written characters and a passionate romance. The time travel is handled skillfully. Victoria is a strong woman thrown into a past that she doesn't understand. Her love and her giving nature are felt by everyone around her. I was touched by her relationship with Edmund. She cared and protected him. Nicholas was a proud and powerful man who had difficulty understanding the changes in his wife. I loved watching him learn to trust and love her. When he finally admitted his feeling, I shed tears. Monica Burns has written an extraordinary Time Travel romance that left me breathless. I loved Forever Mine!

Have we met before?

Time travel romance stories are sometimes difficult to read and write because you are basically writing two stories at the same time and you need to stay true to the period that you're writing about. At times I found Ms. Burns appeared to write in the same voice for both periods. When I was reading in the 1800's, I still felt as though it was present day (police, instead of constables or the watch). However, none of this took away for the story.
Both, the hero- Nicholas and the heroine- Victoria, were strong characters that were a good match. From their initial meeting to meeting up again, you felt their connection. The way in which Ms. Burns traveled between present day to the past was creative and you always knew when a "travel" or switch was about to occur.
I enjoyed the story line. I know the story was about the love between the main characters, but I found I wanted to know the story behind the villain and his group of merry men and woman. Forever Mine is truly a book worth reading. The inconstancies of the language does not take away from the story.
