Description

Self-Tie bow ties are seeing a dramatic resurgence in popularity.  In this rich iBook, containing nearly 30 minutes of instructional videos, you will learn much more than just how to tie your own bow tie.  Explore a selected history of bow ties, discover different types of bow ties, learn tips and tricks, and consider reasons why certain people choose to make the bow tie a part of their everyday wardrobe.

Part instructional manual, and part personal memoir, this book goes deep into depth to teach you how to tie the traditional butterfly bow tie, diamond point, batwing (or slim) tie, and reversible bow tie.  Instructional text, photos, and detailed videos are all a part of this multi-touch book.  Thirteen different videos are included to make sure your bow tie looks “just right” each and every time you choose to wear one.

In the final chapter, author Dave Douglas shares his story of personal transformation and why he now wears a bow tie.  Dave loves his bow ties. For over 1,000 days Dave has been been greeting colleagues and customers with a smile and a bow tie.  Dave is the perfect teacher to methodically take you through the art of tying your own bow tie.  Dave’s hope is that you not only master the bow tie, but that you also discover why bow ties are too cool to ignore.

1. Types of Bow Ties
2.  How to Tie a Bow Tie
3.  Colors and Patterns

Customer Reviews

An Un-bow-lievable book!

Dave Douglas takes a common item ---the bow tie, and not only creates a reference book of tips, tricks, how-tos, and neckwear fashion, but more importantly he offers the reader insight into the motivation behind his daily obsession with his bow tie ritual.

The visual imagery and beautiful colors throughout the book create a positive experience for the reader. Each movie helps those of us less inclined to knowing how to tie a bow tie---believe that we can do it, too!

He also helps us believe in the power of personal commitment and the ability to change. Do yourself a favor, download this book. You won't be disappointed.
