a person, especially a young woman, who regularly follows a celebrity in the hope of meeting or getting to know them.
See example Tiffany Wendel:
Whore. Slut. Cleat Chaser. I’m used to the names so they don’t bother me. These are my boys. My friends. So what if I like to have dirty sex with them? My body is no one’s business but mine.
Why is Rowen Flanigan making me re-think how I live my life? Making me question my choices? He’s only a rookie.
a member of an athletic team in his first full season in that sport.
See example Rowen Flanigan:
Player. Son of a legend. Rookie.
Sure, I’d heard the stories of the groupies before. Who hasn’t? I’ve just been more sheltered than my teammates. So what? I didn’t expect her to be smart. Witty. Kind. She brings me to my knees in every way – except one.
That part? I’m saving until the time is right.
So how in the hell did I end up falling for a Groupie like Tiffany? And how in the hell is this going to work when everyone at my job has had a piece of the one thing I haven’t?
I really did not want to like Tiffany. Even when her story started to play out, I resisted. But then I felt myself identifying with her. All of us have made choices we aren't proud of, regardless of what type of choices. The more I read, the more I realized she is just like anyone else. Someone close to me once told me, "You are a good girl who made bad choices." I believe that is Tiffany. So, despite my best efforts, I love Tiffany's character.
As for M. E. Carter's writing style, she did a great job of developing the characters and demonstrating their personal growth. As I was reading, I was comparing myself not just to Tiffany, but to some of the other characters. This book made me do some thinking as far as how I see other people, how I judge them, and how I treat them. I love how Carter made me laugh throughout the book as well.
In summary, I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a great read. M. E. Carter has made it to my list of one-click authors.
