This book documents the feelings and passions of a wide range of American women Harley riders. The women profiled, represent’s a cultural phenomenon and come from a diverse group of geographic, economic, racial and ethnic backgrounds.
These women are young, old, straight, gay and transgender, some have overcome great challenges and battled serious health threats. All credit the experience of learning to ride a Harley with raising their confidence and self-awareness.
When consumers read the book HARLEY WOMEN, they will learn why women decide to ride Harleys and how the decision has affected their lives, and led them to . . . The Road To Self Discovery.
The photography portrays the realistic image of each profile.
This book is fabulous! Hank spent so much time with us; understanding the love we have of our harleys and the lifestyle of a biker chic. The pictures are equally amazing. I would recommend this book to all harley bikers, and anyone who has ever been interested in the biker lifestyle of women. When reading the woman's profiles... it just might make ya wanna go out and get your own bike! I'm chapter 51 and will be for the rest of my life. Wish this was a coffee table book!
Motorcycle Rider - KaTy Did
Hank has travelled the U.S. not only photographing women Harley riders, but using the photographs to tell their stories. His unique artistic capability of drawing one to the story of the photograph, leads the reader right into the next page. The stories are just long enough to induce that curiosity.
My appreciation goes out to Hank Somma for his huge efforts to expose all types of women riders riding all types of Harley Davidson motorcycles . All women are different, and the author accomplished showing that in this book.
After reading this, I hope more women join in riding being inspired by so many in this book.
