Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Book 3, The Harry Potter Series - Enhanced Edition

This book is available for download with iBooks on your Mac or iOS device, and with iTunes on your computer. Books can be read with iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.

This enhanced edition includes the full original text—plus charming illustrations, animations and interactions that bring key moments in the story to life. You’ll also find annotations written by J.K. Rowling to give you interesting insights into the world of Harry Potter. Update to iOS 9 to get the full, enriched experience.

For twelve long years, the dread fortress of Azkaban held an infamous prisoner named Sirius Black. Convicted of killing thirteen people with a single curse, he was said to be the heir apparent to the Dark Lord, Voldemort.

Now he has escaped, leaving only two clues as to where he might be headed: Harry Potter's defeat of You-Know-Who was Black's downfall as well. And the Azkaban guards heard Black muttering in his sleep, "He's at Hogwarts...he's at Hogwarts."

Harry Potter isn't safe, not even within the walls of his magical school, surrounded by his friends. Because on top of it all, there may well be a traitor in their midst.

Customer Reviews

Initially had trouble getting the awesome purple cover downloaded.

Okay since I was annoyed by the weird bland cover that I got instead of the awesome purple Moony-ness I deleted the copy in my iBooks library and tried to re download it....several times with it refusing to download at all.

Finally I thought that I'd download the other HP book samples since that is what I did for CoS originally and the cover had been perfect when I bought it.

So I'm not sure if it's because of the techs fixing it (if so thanks, tech people!) or if my downloading the other HP samples helped my full awesome purple cover version download finally, but I'm a happy camper!

Okay not sure why but the cover I got for this is some flat weird orange color with yellow/white block letters.
The first pages look okay, but I haven't looked through it all yet.

I'll try to change my review if/when I see that the cover has changed to the advertised awesome purple number.

It's lit.

They should've released these years ago. They should have kept the original book cover artwork though. Apart from that, amazing!

Enhanced? Kind of.

All of the illustrations and annotations are great, but what happened to the original chapter artwork and the handwritten letters from the original text (signatures and most of Hagrid's letters). They really added to the original books and I'd like to see those added back in a future update. Seems counterproductive to remove things from the "enhanced" edition.
